Link Up with Carnegie Hall
Every year, our students participate in Link Up with Carnegie Hall. All students in grades 3–5 are given the opportunity to join the orchestra and learn how to play the recorder. Students can perform with a professional orchestra from their seats at a culminating concert at Carnegie Hall. Learn more about the program here.
Wellness In the Schools
The Cook for Kids program worked with our school to feed kids real food. WITS Chefs, trained culinary graduates, worked with P.S. 110 once a week to train school staff on different ways to prepare foods, and provide nutrition education to students.
The daily goal is for students to return to class after lunch and recess ready to focus and learn. The long-term goal is to teach children healthy habits that will last a lifetime.
Our students in K-5th enjoyed two cooking labs where they prepped, cooked, and tasted a menu item. In the fall we made vegetarian chili and in the spring we made roasted potatoes with rosemary. Our PK students enjoyed sampling a cucumber salad. Learn more about WITS.
